Ghana and Paraguay - Cooperation with SOS Children’s Villages

pic_9.jpg (11154 bytes)One of the partners of the GPHF was the relief organization "Hermann-Gmeiner-Fund / SOS Children’s Villages" too. The objective of their cooperation was the improvement of drug supply in the health care facilities of children’s villages by conveying the relevant pharmaceutical know-how to the competent persons.

These facilities consisted of so-called out-patient clinics and/or their associated pharmacies in the SOS children’s villages in Tema (Ghana) and Hohenau and San Ignacio (Paraguay).

The GPHF commissioned a pharmacist to advise the Tema clinic staff in matters of drug ordering, storage, quality control and distribution. The GPHF also made a substantial financial contribution to the setting-up of the clinic.
