2017: Falsified antimalarial medicines in DR-Congo (2)

During a medicines quality survey performed by the Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the use of the GPHF-Minilab pointed to a second batch of falsified quinine tablets again completely lacking the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Fake antimalarial medicines with zero content of active ingredients is not treating the infection as required resulting in prolonged suffering or even death.
